Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've used 3M Finessit or Perfect-it (both swirl removers) which will work and are clearcoat safe.

If that does not do the trick, wash with dawn (just the area in question with dawn, rest of car regular wash), then use 3M Hand Glaze, P21S Paint Cleaner, then reapply Rejex assuming stains are completely gone.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I use Rejex on my car weekly after washing. I have been impressed with the shine, appearance and protection. Today, there were some bird droppings on the car that had dried onto the surface for 8 hours. The bird droppings easily flicked off the car but left a vague water spot-like circle. I tried claying the surface wih Griots speed shine, but the spot remains. My question is could the water spot-like remains be an etching of the clear coat from radioactive birds? Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do next?

POST 2Original post

Acidic droppings can etch the clear. First, use water to wet them before removal, then when you can, try paint cleaner. P21S is a good one, but there are many. Sometimes just a quick detailer will remove it. If that does not do the trick, wash with dawn (just the area in question with dawn, rest of car regular wash), then use 3M Hand Glaze, P21S Paint Cleaner, then reapply Rejex assuming stains are completely gone. You may need 3M Swirl Remover too if it is really stubborn, but go easy first.

POST 3Original post

Baking soda will neutralize the acid.....try it on your neighbor's malibu....

POST 4Original post

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I emailed Barry from rejex and he said that it would go away with the next wash and reapplication and he was right! All better now. Amazing product.

POST 6Original post

I got lucky a couple of weeks ago......a albatros (?) the size of an elephant decided to cross the PCH and while flying accross drop a "bomb"...a s..bomb!!! I was driving with my top down and the s..bomb hit just past the canvas of the top ( I am talking about 2 inches!! on my right quarter panel...with some depos(h)its in the grooves......I was lucky..I guess not getting this on my head...but it was toooo much ****..not funny..like a painter dropped a gallon of grey white paint on my P.....cleaning up was the best part!!!....sorry forgot to take a picture of it! I polished right after and lucky no mark!

POST 7Original post

Do you use Rejex by itself or in combination with some other finish? How many coats? How often? Thanks.
