Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I saw a silver GT2 in Westport CT a couple of weeks ago. Wow what a spectacularly beautiful yet mean looking car. At the time I noted to myself that it was the first time I had ever seen one in person. This is a pretty wealthy area so we see alot of new 997's and a fair number of GT3's and Carrera GT's tooling around.
Are these cars very rare? What is the difference in production numbers between the 2 and the 3?
Anyway, sweet ride. I was and am jealous
The GT2 is one of the rarest modern P-cars in terms of numbers imported to the US. I believe there were around 300 here? I'm sure someone will post the exact number.
For comparison there were around 900 GT3s and 1,200 CGT imported.
Again, these are rough numbers, from my unreliable memory!
I agree, the GT2 is incredible in person.
They do seem pretty rare. Even here in Northern Virginia where there are a LOT of Porsches I've only seen 2 -- a red and a yellow -- on the road. I see Turbo coupes and cabs and GT3s on a regular basis but the GT2s are even rarer than the CGTs in this area!
I've seen a couple at track events. More specifically, one of the guy who runs his own track events had his GT2 at Willow Springs and tracks it regularly. I saw another one at Buttonwillow but didn't get a chance to meet the owner.
I didn't realize I was in the presence of such rare machinery.
I saw my first and only GT2 in person a couple of weeks ago here in North Jersey.
I had just gotten my Lapis Blue C4S and went for a ride. Driving right in front of me was a Lapis Blue GT2. Sweet!!!
The Mk I GT3 was never imported here.
There do seem to be a lot of GT3s around LA and OC. Plus there are a
lot
of 996s with the GT3 aero kit around here too.
