Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

And when I finished the beer some time later I ran into him and he said let me know when you are done with that beer and I will get you some more.

Bass Ale, from the tap, in a pint glass
As an aside, a friend of mine was travelling in Utah this winter and came across a local microbrew which in my book has to go down as the leader in the "Best Named Beer" category. It is called Polygamy Pilsner. Slogan: "When You're Having More Than One". True story!!
Chuck
Very dry gin martini with Beefeaters and Martini and Rossi both chilled in the freezer. Serve in a glass also kept in the freezer. Queen olive. Sublime.
Johnny Walker Blue or Glen Levit 18 year old scotch. I know, my wife calls me an old man whenever i get out the bottle, but it tastes so good and does not bloat me like beer. Wine? Jordan 95 Cab. Ummm.
Pilsner Urquell is tops for me, but also Bass, Guinness, XX amber, Sam Adams, and Hop Devil.
Not to mention Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit, Bookers, Ketel One, and Cuervo Gold.
Mmmmm. Fridays.
FINALLY! A topic I have experience with!
Cocktail - Captain Morgan Spiced Rum and Pepsi - 2:3 mix, lots of ice
Beer - Robert Simpson Confederation Ale (Micro-brewery in Barrie, ON)
Wine - n/a
I'll toss in my vote for Guinness.
Cocktail will be scotch - McCallun or Lagavulin (opposite ends of the taste spectrum) although Goslings dark rum and water is also real tasty.
Wine ... too many to list.
two words:
JACK DANIELS.
here's a little story. A few year's back I was working at a Hotel where the German National Soccer team was staying during the World Cup. In a shocking upset they were knocked out by Bulgaria. Germany went back to the Hotel and promptly drank every case of the Erdinger beer they travel with (no kidding). Their next choice of beverage?
Jack Daniels please.
my other favorites spirits: **** Creek, Veuve Cliquot(rose),Tignanello
beer: Shiner Bock, a wonderful Texas brew
cocktail: W.L. Weller, neat or w/ ginger ale
wine: Franciscan Cab, or for special occasions Silver Oak Cab or Opus One
Cheers,
TX996CAB
I love Shiner Bock, but you can't get it up here in the northeast. Every time I make it down to Houston, I have a few. For a beer I like Sam Adams, before dinner something like a Kettle One straight up, after dinner scotch (JW Black or Blue if I've got it).
Beer: How about a tall glass of milk?
I actually don't drink beer at all - they all taste like bitter horse **** to me.
Cocktail: Kamikaze on the rocks, or straight up
Wine: anything Reisling
Beer: Spaten Bock - Chimay Red - Kronenbourg - local Alaskan, I could go on and on
Cocktail: CC & 7, proper margarita - 2 parts Tres Generaciones, 1 part triple sec, 1 part fresh lime juice, light salt
Wine: Stag's Leap Cab - last millennium
I don't drink cocktails or wine, but I do love Shiner Bock and Corona beer. I got my brother to try Shiner Bock last summer when he visited from Los Angeles, and he loved it so much he stuffed a 6-pack into his travel bag on the return trip. I cautioned him that glass bottles won't make it past airport security, so they'll most likely be confiscated. He said he'll just step out of line to down the entire 6-pack were that to happen. He phoned later to tell me his cargo made it safely onto the plane. Scary!!!!
Holy crap! Finally somebody that has had Shiner Bock!!!!!
My all time favorite beer but can't get it out here in Vegas. Well actually I can but at nearly $10 a sixpack. That became an expensive habit so I swithced over to my other fav...GUINNESS.
Funny story. Back when I was in grad school at Univ of Texas I did apartment leasing as a part time gig and leased an apartment to one of the VP's of Shiner Bock. He needed to move in the same day AND have it fully furnished. I had no idea at the time what he did for a living or who he worked for but I pressed on an stayed late and got him into his apartment by day fall. He called me the next morning to thank me for my time and also asked if I liked shiner bock. TO which I said "are you kidding? it is my favorite beer". An hour later he showed up at my office (I also lived in the same complex) and had deliverd 20 cases of beer to me! And when I finished the beer some time later I ran into him and he said let me know when you are done with that beer and I will get you some more. Another 10-15 cases later I had a new best friend!!! Let's just say my fraternity brothers loved me!
Beer: Coors Light (CL Cmooth) or Michelob Ultra(To save or carbs)
Cognac: Courvosier XO Imperial or A. Hardy Cinquantenaire
Wines: Any will do
Vodka: Belvidere, Vox, Grey Goose, Ketel One or Hetman(Ukrainian from my homeland)
Rum:Bacardi (Always served with diet coke and 2 limes)
No wonder my wife thinks I'm a drunk....
Ah and I forgot one more, perhaps one of the most indulgent tequilas in the world: Herradura Seleccion Suprema. At 300/bottle it's perhaps not a dialy sipper, but ever now and then, what a delight.
Took the long way with the 996 to Ralph's to pick up that mini keg of Heineken tonight. It's very cute and fits in your fridge door. Open door, pull lever, cold beer, stand in garage, stare at Porsche, dream of more mods, read Rennlist, repeat...
Patron Margarita on the rocks if it's hot. Grey goose and Red Bull on Dance/Afterhour nights. Northwest style spanish coffee or Espresso Martini if I need to get my *** in gear. Lightest beer available if I drove the Porsche to the pub. I have portable breathalizer in Porsche for such excursions.
Drink: whisky sour (J.D. - no soccer player though)
Beer: Becks. (The german stuff not that s**t they sell in the U.S. with the horrible aftertaste)
Wine: 2001 Marchesi Antinori Tignanello (on weekdays a Federico Paternina Banda Rioja Reserva ;-)
Thorsten
For my 2cents:
Beer: North American is Unibroe hands down esp their yearly special editions but at least the Maudite, but really I favor most Belgian beers like Chimay, Duvel, Afligem
Hard: I'm too weak for the hard stuff
Wine: any great Bordeaux, but have weakness in my heart for Mouton, I also like some Claifornia cabs, like a great 94 or 97 Heitz.
Beer: Labatt, Molson Canadian, Red Leaf (some new canadian beer i sampled at the LCBO...fantastic! i couldn't believe how it tastes..it almost wasn't beer...0 aftertaste and still gets u drunk).
Hard Drinks: Stolichnaya, Absinth
Can't believe that I felt compelled to make this my first post, but WTF.....
Beer: Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (grew up in Chico)
Wine: live within 25 miles of 30 wineries......so, that's a tough one...most reds will do
Drink: Vodka Marti with extra olives.
It's Saturday night....the local Shell doesn't have Sierra, so I'm hoisting an ice cold corona at the moment. Wife's in Chico and I'm burning many hours on my new found obsession (rennlist) :-}
And, since this is my first post.....I might as well let the cat outta the bag and break the news. I'm having an 02' C2 shipped to my casa as I type. Silver/black, 18's, Technic package, PSM. 15,521 Miles. Yes, Pictures will follow.
Will probably have the Mitsu EVO up for sale, and, it hasn't suffered a RMS failure yet. LOL. whatever.
Sincerely,
WFO
