Had to replace my windshield due to rock cracking my windshield on my 2003 C4S.......windshield shop did a nice clean job.....had the car sit for two days in the shop after replacement with OE windshield so it could "set" for extra time.....for two weeks it was okay and then change in weather to 20 degress higher (50-70) might be responsible ?

the work is guaranteed lifetime and the shop offered to repair again with new seals, OE windshield, etc....told him I would drive for a month more to see if creaks go away.....this has happened before with other creaks in my experiences with cars......but this is first time with creaking windshields......it actually creaks on the top middle of the windshield with strong finger pressure.........any tips with similar experiences to solve this issue welcomed....I have heard on this befoer on P-cars....993's....will do search, but any shortcuts would help......thanks...

There is a fix available at the dealer per the bulletin.
Alternatively, Bruce Anderson of Excellence always recommends you simply spray some Pedro's Ice Wax [

] in between the seal and glass. In my own experience this will fix the creaking for an indeterminate period of time between 3-months to forever.
Not bad for a few bucks and five minutes of time. Others swear by the TS6420 dealer fix, but after four 911's I've learned to avoid the dealer whenever possible.
When a 993 windshield squeaks it is because it was installed wrong. Most glass installers ignore the instructions from Porsche and don't use adhesive or any additional sealant.
Does anybody know if Pedros Ice Wax can be sprayed on dash parts and under the seats in areas that squeek? I have a few by the vents. Maybe this will help....
