Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I posted this on the MACAN list, but I do the same thing on the 996
Clean wheels on a Macan, yeah, for about 2 days.
Porsche brake material is just about as "bad" as BMW...but, If you keep after the "dust" and don't let it cake up, they are pretty easy to clean
I bought a Toilet brush at the DOLLAR STORE, some dish washing detergent and less than 10 minutes is all it takes.
The brush will reach all the way into the "barrel" and it fits between the "spokes" on my 20" wheels and cleans them too...
OR, you can buy a really expensive long handle brush from G.......Garage....... : the toilet brush works better...
Sonax full effect wheel cleaner sprays on yellow and turns purple while it takes the dust off. It's expensive but its the best by far.
I would rather just have a Ceramic Hawk HPS pads. Almost zero dust. They don't have the same initial bite as stock pads but have less fade and are great when they get warm. That brake dust is pretty much gone. Fair trade off for me.
Depending on the wheel I use different brushes. I like the big wheel woolie for wheels that don't have a lot of spokes, it soaks up a lot of water and covers a large area. Speed detail brush for and a paint brush type tool for more intricate wheels. A lot of times if it isn't bad you can just spray a decent wheel cleaner on and power wash it off.
Similar experience with Dragons Breath wheel cleaner. Spray it on, turns purple, hose off. Done. And that is after 2 days at the track and 1000 miles of driving.
The hard part is getting all the dust off the inside of the wheel. you get all finished and as careful as you are, there are always a few missed spots...toiler brush does a great job a with just dish soap, no expensive cleaner needed
