This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Feeling very frustrated with my cab....my top won't go back up. Parking brake light on, trunk and lid properly closed- the signal is going through to top (windows close and open with cab open button)but it just doesn't move. I tried searching but nothing found. Any ideas guys?

POST 2Original post

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

well tried it with the key, but the only thing that goes up and down is the windows, I can hear it trying to move but nothing.....I noticed I can see only one of the flaps. The other one is in place and just covers so you can't see the inside mechanisms the other one is not there, and I also see a a spring looking wire not attached to anything???

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I DID IT.......for the past two days I could not get my top up - no matter what I did. Today went to my car, started it pushed on the button....it worked. I left the top half way open to take a look at the little flaps, and I found the missing flap with all it's parts broken. It looks like an easy DIY. My top is working normal now....thanks firehawk

POST 7Original post

no ptoblem lube the shafts for both sides they bind up they brake and then the top doesn work, wd 40 will work in a jiffy but something a lil heavier applied with a brush works way better for the long haul

POST 8Original post

Lithium grease would be good to use. You know how loud garage doors are when opening and closing? I used lithium grease (spray can) on my garage door hinges. I greased any part that moved or rotated and now my garage door is very quiet, about 25% of previous noise level. I have the screw drive type of garage door opener, which is also very quiet.
