I checked fuses, so far all good, however I don't know where or if there is an amp.

I've been reading the forum for sometime however this is my first post... love the information. I have a 2001 996 TT, Speed Yellow... is there any other color I'd post pics but I'm on my Treo and don't have access. Look forward to becoming more involved with the board... however I need some help. My unHiFi stereo seems to have lost the use of the drivers in the doors... I have sound from all other speakers... just not the drivers in the doors... so the tinnie sounding unHiFi sounds even more unHiFi (as if that is possible). So has this happened to anyone else, anything I should look for? I checked fuses, so far all good, however I don't know where or if there is an amp. Any direction is greatly appreciated. I promise to post pics at a later date... I did search on the item, however most returns were of changing the unHiFi out... I just need a little help to get back to normal.. Thank you - Cliff

If it's both doors I would start to trouble shoot the connections going to the drivers (amp). My 2001 has the amp in the trunk compartment by the spare tire.
