I need to test fit the rear to see what needs to be modified to fit the 11" rear (though I would be really happy to find, what appears to be as elusive as a dodo bird, 10" rears).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know this sounds odd, but I am looking for someone local to the Chicago area that might be willing to let me "borrow" a 996TT style rear wheel for about 30 minutes. I need to test fit the rear to see what needs to be modified to fit the 11" rear (though I would be really happy to find, what appears to be as elusive as a dodo bird, 10" rears). I would find a way to make it up to you...like beer or cash if that floats your boat. This is what the wheel looks like http://www.wheelenhancement.com/inde...elDetail&id=42 though anything with the stock offset and width would work for my purposes. I am in Plainfield but I am more than willing to travel. Thanks Matt __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote

POST 2Original post

Matt - I don't live in the Chicago area so I can't help with the borrowed wheel. However, I have those wheels on my '04 C2 coupe (narrow body). They are OEM wheels and the sizes are 18" x 8" x 50mm offset front and 18" x 10" x 65mm offset rear. Do you know what size and offset you currently have? If so, here is a site that will calculate the impact of changing to a different wheel width and/or offset. http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp Let me know if you have any questions.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Tim, I am pretty adept at the wheel side of things, I am just having a tough time finding the 10"s rears used (while 11s are all over the place) so I want to test fit the 11 and see how it fits, where it rubs and if I can make it fit without a lot of hassle. I use 11s on one the 951s but they were built for it. __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote
