Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Gunk citrus is fine for it and that is what I used, the citrus won't harm the paint or rubber , it worked great...

Suggestion
Gunk is made to clean engines, so I'm not sure it would attack rubber as you state.

My question is, and I have searched past threads, is it OK to use a product like "citrus engine brite" from GUNK.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Since seeing the photos of the belly of Orient Express' car, I have a dillusional aspiration to have mine look the same. Not that it will ever get there, but I am going to give it a shot for a couple of hours this weekend. Thanks to everyones help, I now have all of the essential tools to jack the car up and get it on stands. FYI, I bought an awesome high-end jack from SEARS. Its lightweight red/silver aluminum. $169.00
My question is, and I have searched past threads, is it OK to use a product like "citrus engine brite" from GUNK. I already have it, but am afraid that it might be too aggressive. I have used it on other things in the past, and it seems to want to eat thru rubber, etc. Has anyone used this or anything that might be better. I am very familiar with Simple Green, etc. Any "concoctions" that work well for this task would be appreciated.
Also, my new FABSPEEDS just arrived and they look sweeeet! Was surprised at how much smaller they are then the factory cans. Install is next week!
There are many solutions you can use to clean wheel wells or the underside of the car. I like 'Greased Lightening' and make sure to rinse with plenty of water. Once everything is dry, I use 303 Protectant. Gunk is made to clean engines, so I'm not sure it would attack rubber as you state.

Hands down, the best cleaner is Wurth Citrus Degreaser. Removes grease, dirt, oil, cosmoline and it smells good. It's easy on the hands and easy on the driveway. If there is a downside, it costs $18.00 a can. But it's worth it. Go to WurthUSA.com and order it on-line or call an order in.
Gunk is ok to use, I just finished doing two wheel wells and bright work on my 87 turbo look cab, it only has 7k miles, but damn the crap almost 20 years will bring... Gunk citrus is fine for it and that is what I used, the citrus won't harm the paint or rubber , it worked great... get a pressure washer too.
