Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I installed an entire ROW M030 suspension on my car in under 5 hours in my garage.
Leading evidence: 'Install entire row m030 suspension' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'c2, once the strut is loosed' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Install entire row m030 suspension' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Anyways, I was starting to do it myself, but ran into difficulty getting enough downward travel on the front wheel carrier to swing the old strut/spring assembly out of the wheel well.

So I thought myself pretty clever as I used a jack to raise the strut/spring assembly and put on a pair of sping compressors.

Suspected cause
I suspect with a C2, once the strut is loosed from the top, the suspension can drop *way* down without impediment and that is what makes removal of the old piece possible.

Does anyone have access to a Porsche repair guide that lists how much time a dealer gets allocated to do the work?

Suggestion
But in the end, it seemed to rest on the fact that I need to take the half-shaft off to get the suspension to drop low enough to change the angle of the mounting bracket (wheel carrier) enough to swing the old strut out of there.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

How much shop time should be required to do a 4 corner suspension swap with front and rear swaybar swaps? Does anyone have access to a Porsche repair guide that lists how much time a dealer gets allocated to do the work?
How much have people paid in the past for this kind of job?
My suggestion is to look in the tech section and do it yourself. I installed an entire ROW M030 suspension on my car in under 5 hours in my garage. Just remember to get it aligned afterwards.
Do you mean the tech section here on Rennlist.com? I can't seem to find any such section.

I have a C4 and it seemed like the front halfshaft was limiting downward travel. I was following some instructions at RennTech which detailed swapping a ROW M030 suspension, I believe. Very helpful, but I'm assuming they were based on a C2.
The other possibility is whether or not I can foreshorten the strut/spring assembly significantly. I'll have to think about that one.
The new assembly is much shorter and I'm assuming that it'll be easier to swing that thing in.
Anyone DIY on a C4 or have any tips?
Well, I took the thing apart today thinking that if I could compress the springs before unbolting them from the top, I might be able to get enough clearance. So I thought myself pretty clever as I used a jack to raise the strut/spring assembly and put on a pair of sping compressors. But in the end, it seemed to rest on the fact that I need to take the half-shaft off to get the suspension to drop low enough to change the angle of the mounting bracket (wheel carrier) enough to swing the old strut out of there. Looks like you need a large socket to get the half-shaft off the wheel carrier. Even then, I wonder if I have to take off any of the other attachments before geting enough downward movement of the wheel carrier piece?
