The lever for teh turn signal usually don't return to the off position after making a turn, I have to manually turn them off. Can this be corrected or is it normal for the 996?

They should reset automatically when you'ce completed a turn. If it's not working either: 1) Your steering wheel has been off at some point, and they did not refit correctly so that the auto reset was centered when the steering wheel/wheels were in the straight forward position. 2) The auto reset mech is busted and needs replacing Chris.
