Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

22 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello Rennlisters! I've been lurking for several weeks but can now finally post as an owner. I recently purchased this 1999 C2 with only 44k original miles. I bought it from the very meticulous original (local) owner who has done an outstanding job of keeping this car in new condition (not a ding)! It's Ocean Blue with full black supple leather interior, crests in the headrests, 18" hollow spokes, and litronic headlights. It passed PPI with fyling colors last Wednesday but thanks to a quick business trip I haven't had the chance to drive/play with it until just this past weekend. The car already has clear corners and updated tails which saves me the trouble and will allow me to funnel my mod bucks elsewhere. The original owner also debadged the deck lid...I'm not sure if I'll leave that or not. I just paid for my Rennlist membership...I suppose PCA and a subscription to Excellence will be next. I'm really looking forward to spending some quality time here...thanks for all the info I've already taken away. -Mike

POST 2Original post

Congrats, Nothing like owning your first 911...

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks. Not only my first 911...my first Porsche! I'm a long time VW/Audi enthusiast who finally decided to make the upgrade.

POST 6Original post

Very clean looking 996. EDIT: I didn't notice it had 44K miles on it. Welcome to Rennlist, enjoy!!

POST 7Original post

POST 11Original post

I came from an Audi also. No looking back here. Enjoy!!

POST 12Original post

I like the blue with the black, very nice combo. Another Porsche guy in the Valley, huh?

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yup, another pcar in the valley! Do we have a good size group of valley RL'ers? I'd love to meet up for coffee and car talk.

POST 14Original post

POST 16Original post

Mike - Car looks sweet and I'm wait for that ride later this week. You need to rebadge the rear for sure. Nice to have another 911 owner in the "family". -Kevin

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Kev...ride? Naw, you can drive it. I'm thinking silver crest on the hood and silver Carrera badge on the back. Of course, I should really change out the center caps to match....slippery slope here I come.

POST 19Original post

Mike - Welcome and Congrats on getting a nice looking par! If you decide to re-badge the rear, go with the silver Carrera logo. I took the original OEM black logo off and replaced it with silver. MUCH better!

POST 20Original post
