Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Pretty much everywhere but the US (and maybe Canada, I forget) uses RON.

Q: shall I even bother using these Shell *prepaid* gas cards on my 996?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I live in a town that doesn't have anything higher than 92 octane (BP station). That's pretty much my default station given that Porsche recommends 93.
So all is well until the wife bought a whole bunch (i.e. a stack or a sh*t load as some would call it) of Shell gas cards -- she found a deal where they can be purchased @ 20% off.
Well unlike Texas where I spent a good number of year, all the Shell stations here pump 91 octane only.

In Russia 98 octane is recommended by the manual and dealers, same in Europe i think.
It is quite weird that they have different reccomendations for EU and US.

Palting is correct. I'm able to get Sunoco GT (100 unleaded) at a pump and mix in 5 gallons for every 10 of 91 to get a tank octane of 94. Subjectively, the car feels stronger, particularly in the higher RPM ranges.
Lucky us Texans, living in the energy capital of the U.S.
93-octane gas is readily available even at your neighborhood convenience store pump stations here in Houston. At $2.80/gal, it's certainly still not too bad.
I just paid $2.79 for 93 octane at the local marina yesterday. Typically, the marina gas is much more expensive. I was pleasantly suprised and bought more than I needed! We ran 72-76 mph in the beautiful weather, it was great!
Canada does use the RON system. Standard "high test" gas is 91 here, and you can get 92 in a few places, and 94 at Sunoco. That's what I use and it always works well. I've run it since I got the car, so I can't comment on how and if it feels different.
Hey gang,
Okay...here is what the wife did (didn't know the procedures until now that I ask -- hell, only professional housewives can do this kind of stuff):
