Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thought Id check on the cabin filter rodent protection system today and found this. One of its occupants even greeted me upon inspection. I dont mind mice if they stay on their side of the wall.

POST 2Original post

If you drive it everyday stuff like this doesn't happen...

POST 3Original post

For typical city lot (5k sq ft); to eliminate rats and mice get 3 of the below from Home Depot, and place on sides and rear of your property. Kills them all. Bucket of refill blocks from Tractor Supply Company. Wear latex gloves keep poison off your hands and your smell off station. Leave out year round.

POST 4Original post

I read a good DIY about putting peppermint oil soaked cotton in reusable Nespresso capsules and placing them in problem areas.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have the Tom cat stuff surrounding the car. Theres some evidence of snacking and I replace them when necessary. I also drive it several times a week. Little buggers dont seem to care. I went to get the vac and he was already back when I got back to the garage. Gotta try peppermint oil. That sounds like a good idea. The 1/4 screen fitted to the cabin filter was one of my better ideas. Thanks.

POST 7Original post

We used Bonide Mouse Magic, which are pouches that contain peppermint oil coated corn husks in order to repel/keep out the mice. They worked so well that the mice started nibbling on them and dragging them back to their homes........ Dollar store old school mouse traps are where it's at.

POST 8Original post

Pinesol sprayed on the inside of our work boats keeps sea otters off of them when tied at the docks here in Washington state. We had a real filthy problem in our boats before we learned that trick. Seems like it would work for smaller vermin like mice too.
