The problem is spacing the wheel in a way that makes the load held by the lugs unacceptable.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I realize this, and i have my old rims up for sale, but i was curious if it could be done...
I cant afford new rims, and i have my M3 rims that have brand new tires on them just collecting dust.
Do you know where i can find these?
I didn't miss anything...I knew it was comming...
I am more interested to see how it "looks"
I dont know if i want to go with black rims again.
It's no different then runnign spacers on a car if they are RIGHT kind.
I dont think a company makes them though. The math doesnt seem to work out on the offsets.
You can ONLY go out (decrease offset by adding spacers) but you CANNOT go in. No such thing as a negative spacer unless you plan on have the wheel shaved.
I don't see the problem with doing it...no?
I mean there are lots of the same wheels made with different bolt patterns (like the SSR GT3). If a good deal comes up and the size and offset are correct, what's wrong with it?
thanks,
Amir

BMW have such an offset that there is no adapter that would get the wheels to fit.
My original intent of the post was to confirm this, but then some "brilliant" individuals decided to make a joke anout it, and say that it is possible when it isn't...
