Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Yes, I'm trying to avoid a fruitless test fitting that involves lugging four heavy rims/tires out to the car in the middle of summer here.
Leading evidence: 'Test fitting' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). I remember a post from someone who said they fit all four into the Targa but I can't remember if they used the front seat.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

These are 17" rims and tires ... and it's a Targa. That's without using the passenger seat. Anyone (track guys?) accomplished that?
Yes, I'm trying to avoid a fruitless test fitting that involves lugging four heavy rims/tires out to the car in the middle of summer here.
I would strongly doubt it. I had a flat last week and had to fit one wheel and tire in the back seat area (I had track stuff in the "boot") and even THAT was tight. Without a passenger you might fit one or two tires in the passsenger seat.
Well, would I be able to fit two rear tires (no wheels) in the front passenger seat?
My contiSC2's came in yesterday, and I'm taking them down to the shop to have them installed.
They are real wide *** tires! 295-30-18
Maybe......(without tires)
I fit 4 18" wheels (8.5" & 11.0") in my C2.
I'll bet you could get one front in the front trunk. The two rears in the back seats and the 2nd front under the hatch in the targa.
No way. You'd have a hard time fitting 3 let alone 4 wheels and tires. I had a flat on one of my rear tires (285/30-18) and I had to
pull the front passenger seat all the way forward
and leave the seat back
reclined forward
so the tire would fit!
An 18" rear will just fit in the front trunk with the spare removed, been there done that ... I remember a post from someone who said they fit all four into the Targa but I can't remember if they used the front seat. The hatch is quite large with the seats folded down. I'm thinking one rear under the front lid, two fronts stacked on one side and the spare and second rear on the other side. These are narrower 17" rims with snows on them.
No. I could not even fit just my rear 18x11 track wheels with tires in the back with the seats folded down. You have 2 options: you can either drive on your other wheels or invest in a hitch and trailer.
