Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Use pads' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Recommend picking some up' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

If you aren't using them, I would highly recommend picking some up.

For those of you that have 2 post lifts installed, do you use a certain type of lift pad?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

For those of you that have 2 post lifts installed, do you use a certain type of lift pad? My lift has the standard square pads. It works OK, however the rear pads seem to press on the rear debris deflector that mounts to the underbody just in front of the wheel well. The round pad may works slightly better. Is there something that attaches to the holes on the lift points that will adapt? I'm curious to see what others are using.

I use pucks made by a rennlister sold on the marketplace. He machines them out of some sort of black plastic material, maybe delrin (? I don't know anything about plastics). They insert into the jack points and then twist to lock in place. I put those on first, then put the lift arms under, and then lift the car. They keep the lift pads off the sill bodywork.
The guy that makes them is Ed Jenkins and his Rennlist screen name is

Just don't forget to take them off when done. Twice now I haven't. First time they hung in there for about 100 miles before I noticed. Second time two let go going around the block..found them though.
I did my first oil change on my Targa. Pretty easy job. I was surprised at the lack of anything trapped in my filter? I cut it apart and inspected it very carefully. Nothing but oil. No visible particles, no shiny plastic pieces, nothing. I'm surprised as I've seen most other members post all sorts of crap trapped in their filters. I guess I'm just lucky?
Anyway, the point of my post is, I picked up these lift pucks from a member here. The-track-guy. All I can say is, these little items rock. If you aren't using them, I would highly recommend picking some up. Great guy to work with, and the product is top notch and of very high quality.
Thanks Track Guy!
