Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Our current tires are General G-Max which had good reviews on Tirerack.com and are stickier and quieter than the worn out tires installed when we purchased.

I have Sumis now and will need to replace next summer so would love to hear what you think of them.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Swapped to some OZ wheels when getting new tires.
18 x 8.5 53 offset
28 x 11 63 offset
current spacers. 15 mm front, 12 mm rear. May try my 8 mm in rear or none.
235 40s up front.
295 30s rear.

Good looking 996, and the wheels look good too. Let us know what you think of the new Sumi's.
Just an FYI - I have the same size/offsets (Apex, not OZ's) on my '02 and don't run any spacers.
We have the same size tires, which are +10mm over stock. Our front wheels are 8" 52 mm offset, and when at full-lock definitely but barely rub the center of the forward side plastic fender liner (not metal fender lip). In the future will simulate with washers various spacer sizes to determine if the rubbing can be eliminated, and if not will try and form a small depression in the inner fender liner and metal below to give maybe 1/8 to 1/4" additional clearance. You can tell if rubbing fender liner because surface a bit rough except smooth where it rubs. Do your +10 mm tires rub at full lock?
Our rear wheels 10" 65 mm offset don't seem to contact anything, and tires too small so in future we'd like to try 285/35s, and again simulate different spacer widths with washers to see how everything looks and fits. Our current tires are General G-Max which had good reviews on Tirerack.com and are stickier and quieter than the worn out tires installed when we purchased.
Nice look! Do the 5 mm spacers bring the tires in under the fenders?
Are the Sumis the new model tire? I have Sumis now and will need to replace next summer so would love to hear what you think of them.
Sorry for the foggy morning photo...……..
Just for reference, here are mine (same width/offset) with no spacers. Personal preference = I like the wheel/tire to not stick out to the edge of the fender lip, that's why don't use spacers::
