any 996 owners in nassau county (long island) w/this mod willing to let me run thru their gears prior to my purchasing?

I just installed the Porsche short shift kit in my car. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Now I know what everyone have been talking about all this time. It's like going from an economy car to a super car. Single best mod anyone can do to their car. Thanks guys.

It is a huge different. We sell the B&M unit (basically same as the factory, just not labeled Porsche) but accomplishes the same feat.
Nice to reduce throw from 5.25" 1st - 2nd down to about 3", isn't it?

has anyone ever gotten the 9ff short shift kit. i was looking to get that because for $500 you get the short shift kit and an awsome shift ****

I'm interested in the short shift kit but have to ask how it affects the effort required to get through the gears. Shorter throw equals less leverage to get through the synchros of course. Does the conversion make the shift action a bit stiffer?
