This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suspected cause
Some have a cheap car cover they always put on the car when parked outside, I'm personally too lazy for that but that's probably the best solution.
Leading evidence: 'best solution' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'best solution' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check oil level...every time i start it' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
I wait five seconds to start the car so that I can check the oil level...every time I start it.

Not a ****-wash, you know, just enough to clean the car up for a dinner out with my wife.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi,
Don't post much any more. Guess I just got too caught up in life but I thought you all might appreciate this one.
Washed my car Saturday morning. Not a ****-wash, you know, just enough to clean the car up for a dinner out with my wife.
Anyway, showed up at our favorite Palo Alto steakhouse and lo and behold! A parking space right in front! We went to the bar first for a drink or two. However, to get to the seating area, you must walk past the host stand at the front door.
I tell you, we weren't at the bar more than 30 minutes and those !#!@#$ birds!!!!!!!
Joe
P.S. Sorry for the crappy pic, cell phone was all I had.
P.P.S. I know my rims are scratched.
Damned birds.
At least it's not resin from oak trees !
I've had that experience on my previous car (XK8 convertible). It was a real pain to wash - required special solvents and a lot of work.
Some have a cheap car cover they always put on the car when parked outside, I'm personally too lazy for that but that's probably the best solution.
I had that happen once too...
I came out of work one day a couple years ago and it looked like someone had lightly coated my entire car with powder detergent. Upon closer investigation, it was from a nearby tree - little white flakes all baked onto my car in the hot CA sun. Man, it's a bitch to get off! But it gave me an excues to fully detail the car.
Okay, now you've got me. I also gel my hair, grease my body, put on some gold chains and a wife beater before I go out on the prowl every weekend.... The ladies love me.
I'm not. In fact, I think it's funny people notice it at all.
I have a whole routine when I get into the car to fill the 5 seconds till I can start her up, including, without thinking of it, hitting the button to raise the spoiler. I know, if I like it up so much, I should just hardwire the fuse but I'm also lazy...
Oh I didn't mean you!
If there was a lower profile spoiler that retained the grille, I would totally get one as I dislike the rubber accordion. The only one that really fits the bill for me is the Techart Carrera II (looks like 993 turbo S wing), but it's very expensive and limits rear compartment access
First off, no affiliation other than have been going there for about 15 years and never had bad service or food, just the opposite.

Tips:
- Don't let the low lighting throw you off.
- Go early, visit the bar, have a martini and some oysters on the 1/2 shell.
- Don't go so early that you're there with all the blue-haired old farts (unless you are one...
) getting the "Early Bird".
- Bring some $$, wander around their wine list.
- If you go, make sure there's no Stanford event (like a football game) the same day.
- Order their prime rib medium-rare
- If you don't order the prime rib, order their filet mignon - pan blackened with a baked potato, (cheese) stuffed pasilla pepper and pico de galo
- Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT park under the street light in the right-center of the picture of the restaurant on their web page.
why do you have to wait 5 seconds to start the car? Am I missing something? (And you can reach that button on the fuse panel with something other than your toe?!)
the front left is scratched like the dickens, Is that from parallel parking on one way streets? Little low on air too, and a bit much toe in on the alignment (IMHO)
At least it's not on the wife's side though right?
