Suggestion

I've got a slightly elevated value on my most recent oil change of DT40 and the only thing I can figure out is possibly from my oil pan reseal (in which Dreibond was used), a very small coolant leak that could have possibly occurred, or possibly from the Shell Nitro premium gas that I've started to use religiously for the past year or so.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You can readily get it, BMWs use it a lot. It's a flexible silicone sealant with very good elongation considering its temperature range and cure time. You can read more about it here https://dreibond.de/static/user_uplo..._150127_EN.pdf and find yourself a similar adhesive from Loctite or Henkel, but since the 1209 is so easy to come by I say why not just use what was specified?

POST 3Original post

You can also use Loctite 565, which is a little easier to get locally. BTW- The IMSG uses the factory Porsche sealing washer in all but the earliest units, where we used a thicker washer. Only the first 106 units saw this washer, though.
