Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Manual... Does anyone know the difference between 1. the 996 C4/C4S rear axle 996.332.024.06 old/996.332.024.24 current Vs. 2. the 996 C2 rear axle 996.332.024.03 old/ 996.332.024.20 current The part numbers are different as you can see. The application will be for a 993 which its axle has been replaced with the 996 C2 axle. Thanks

Yea, basically you have a small flange and a big flange. The small flange was on the 996.1 cars with G96/00 G96/30 trans, and the big flange was on the 996.2 with G96/01 G96/31 trans. There is a trans serial number split but basically it follows the 996.1 996.2 model years...You need the 996.1 small flange...

Thank you! Tribal knowledge! Makes sense. I will need the 996.1 version as I know it was shared with the 993...
