Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It's that time. I need to do my rear brakes. I will do rotors and pads (OEM). I'm sure it has been posted but I am too lazy to search through posts right now (taking care of a sick 2 year old). Who's got the best deal (taking shipping in to account) on parts for a rear brake job. I'm in California. Sunset Imports? Pelican? What do I need (sensor has not yet been tripped, I am at 3mm)? Rotors, pads, backing plate, anti-squeal, rotor holding screw, etc.? I have done brakes on other cars, not yet on the P-car. Thanks! Is there some magic procedure I have to do to re adjust the parking brake? Thanks! Andy

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So far it looks like I need: Rotors 2x Caliper bolts 4x Retainer Kit 1x Rotor retaining screw 2x Pads 1 set Vibration Damper 28mm 1 set Vibration Damper 30mm 1 set Have I got it all? AA

POST 3Original post

There was a discussion I think on Renntech about the need for the vibration dampers. Supposedly a pain to install and many over there thought they weren't really needed. You might want to search that. I've never done any brake job in my life, but am looking forward to doing it soon on mine. See this vid . It looks pretty straight forward.

POST 4Original post

I ordered 2 rotors and all the parts for my front brakes from Suncoast. I like their service and price.
