Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry about the re-post but it was suggested I add price info: I'm in the market for a used 996 cab (~'00-01 year target). I would only be driving the car on nice summer days and would likely only put 3000-5000 miles a year on it. I need help with a decision: (A) a 2000 C2 cab with 39000 miles that is in great shape. It had 2 owners all in the same city with the first leasing and the second buying the car 4 years later as a CPO. There is still approx. 19 months left on the Porsche CPO warranty. I may be able to go back to the original dealer and find out the service history. Asking price is $44500. pics at http://members.aol.com/yvonnejim/PORSCHECAB.HTML (B) a 2000 C2 cab with 15000 miles that is in outstanding shape. The original owner is selling. There is nothing left to the warranty. Asking price is $49900 (too much IMHO - I'm sure I could talk this down a fair amount) I could likely talk the price of (A) below the price of (B) The choice boils down to a car that has more miles and 2 owners but nearly 2 summers worth of CPO at a lower price vs a very low mileage one owner car with zip left on the warranty. What to do?

POST 2Original post

both are high price. are they nice optioned? if i were u, keep looking.

POST 3Original post

It already is....... $44,500<$49,900. Both are high. Don't shy away from higher mileage examples. Better odds in a sense...

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

choice (A) below their asking price further than choice (B)
