Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

it uses less gas than the Lexus IS300 that it replaced!?!
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Good morning. My name is Jason, and I live about 45 minutes North of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I have a 1999 C2 Coupe 6 speed in Arctic Silver with black leather. The car has a full aero kit and a nice set of 18" wheels with polished lip. I got it last summer, and am still learning much of what I need to know about it.
I don't have any pics of it here on my office computer, but I'll post one very soon so you guys can check it out.
The 996 isn't my first Porsche, but it is my first 911 variant. I had a 1988 928S4 in Marine Blue metallic with 17" Cup wheels for about 2 years before I got the 996. I HATED the automatic. Cool car, though. AMAZING for highway cruising. I've never been in a car with more legroom!
Anyway, that's all for now. I've been reading this site all week, and realized it was only going to get worse, so I thought I better support it and get involved. Glad to be here.
I'll try to get some good pics this weekend. The car looks pretty solid in my opinion. The wheels are outstanding. I can't wait to get it out - I don't drive it in the winter, in fact, it's never seen snow. It's been a loooooooong winter for me.
Also, I'm having trouble getting a signature, but noticed another post about this and it said it might take a few days to get my payment lined up with this account? Lastly, how do I shrink the pics to (I think they said) 180x180 max?
I'm glad you posted that, I've been trying to figure out how to shrink pictures without making them look like my avatar...
Welcome to the site...have fun with your car
Thanks, guys. Here are a few pics of my weapon. I assume I don't have to shrink attachments, just the one(s) that stay with my signature? Also, I assume an avatar is the pic on the left under your names? This is my first experience with any sort of chat/forum. Thanks for your patience.
Ok, I just tried to upload them, and it won't let me due to size. I'll work on shrinking them and get back to you.
Have a great weekend.
Turns out I can reduce the size of the pics I take with my camera. They aren't crystal clear, but they are much smaller.
Enjoy. Please let me know what you think.
They are 18x7.5 front and 18x9.5 rear. Tires are 225/40ZR18 front and 265/35ZR18 rear. That's all I know about them. They came with the car. I don't even know what brand they are. They don't seem to have any identification on them that would indicate a brand name. I'm pretty new to this chaos, what is offset?
As for the pickup, it's a 4Runner and I love it. It has to be the most amazing daily driver... it uses less gas than the Lexus IS300 that it replaced!?!
Here is a link to Tire Rack's "Wheel Tech" section. Click on the Offset section which will give you an overview of offset. BTW, Porsche uses "Positive" offsets. There are other sections (like bolt pattern and plus sizes) that have really good information.

I did buy the car in Florida. In fact, my car is still on his site as "for sale" I guess he figures if someone calls about it, he can build another one just like it...
Thanks for the Tire Rack link. I just ordered new rubber from them, but haven't looked into the wheel stuff yet. I will do this and educate myself.
Sorry to reply to two of you at once, but I don't know how to do the "quote" thing yet. I'll learn. I'm having a great time so far!
Thanks to everyone for the compliments. It helps me justify the investment!
How were they to deal with? I am in the market and have been looking at a few cas they have for sale. There pricing is good. Were you able to negotiate much? Any advice you could give me would be appreciated.
thanks,
mark
Hi, Mark. The guy, Mike, was pretty decent to deal with. I was not able to negotiate at all, but at teh same time I couldn't find what I wanted for a lower price. I had a PPI done at Champion, which he arranged for me (he has his own flatbed). I did have a few issues with him.
1. one of the wheels was bent on the car when i got it, and it took him almost 2 months to do the right thing and send me a new one.
2. I've asked him to mail me a few things regardign our deal, and he has yet to do that.
All in all, if you have your ducks in row, and do your homework, he's a good guy to deal with. I found him very abrubt on the phone, as if he couldn't care less if he was talking to you or not, but other than that, it was a fairly positive experience. You can email me at
