Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So, I did a search and couldn't find any definitive instructions. I want to install the x74 myself. I understand its not that difficult, and is very similar to the ROW 030. Anyone that could provide some guidance, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks CJ

POST 2Original post

Congrats, you won't be sorry. I got about 1/2 way thru the install and bailed. On a TT/C4S you have to take apart part of the front diff and ball joint, you may not have to ona C4. It's a job, but do-able. You supply the beer and I'll help you do it!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Chris, I might actually take you up on that. Just learned how to change the brake/rotors (thank you Dell), now its on to bigger and better things. The suspension will be here in a couple days, hopefully it will start to warm up soon. CJ

POST 4Original post

Sure, I'll help you. So what finally made you make the move to x74?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, many things. First, the JIC setup was killing me on the city streets. Think its great on the track, and I will miss it, but its not a NYC/BQE/LIE setup. If you live in the south or you only drive your car on weekend/track, then it would be great. I drove a GT3, and theGT3 was almost plush compared to the JIC's Second, I am going to get a gt3, just not sure if I am going for a 996 or 997. The car was totally untouchable from a resale/trade perspective, with the JIC's on it. While the X74 is still lowered, it is a factory piece. I spent a fair bit of time looking, and it seems that despite what most people think, the X74 was actually offered on the 99-01 cars, just not in the US and as an exclusive option outside the US. And finally it was cost. Gert is having a sale on the x74!!!
