Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Bought Rit due online in dark blue and used a small foam based roller to roll it on.

After drying, I use a sticky lint roller to remove any remaining debris.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Ragg Top will ensure/renew water repellent properties. Not sure how much cleaning is possible if your top is damaged or discolored though. It didn't do much for mine.
Here's my maintenance routine:
Whenever I clean the car, I wash the top with plain warm water (no soap), and a non-linting cloth. After drying, I use a sticky lint roller to remove any remaining debris.
Every spring, I treat it with a water-repellent spray treatment. Either Raggtopp or the Porsche branded waterproofing. 2 coats minimum. (I just keep adding coats until the can is gone, usually 2-3 coats)
That's it.
If it gets dirty, the RaggTopp cleaner works great, never use soap, as Frisbee91 said. A water rinse is all it needs to get the dust off.
Never run a cab through a car wash, the top will leak and the brushes are hard on the top.
Leave the top up when parking the car, don't leave the top down for long periods, it will crease.
The lint roller is the cheapest Porsche tool you'll ever buy :-)
Cabriolet top looks stained and creased terrible. Will cleaning and treating with 303 convertible top care kit for fabric make it look better?
Sprayed about 1/4 of blue bottle cleaner on top, rubbed in with nylon brush and soapy foam appears, rinsed with cold water, dried overnight. Next morning a thousand tiny white threads visible, maybe they were there before the cleaning and we didn't notice them, spent half an hour removing as many as possible with pieces of duct tape. Covered windows and body with painter's drop cloth and blue tape, sprayed entire white bottle fabric guard on top.
After a few hours drying stains and creases still visible, but not as bad. Label on white bottle says contains petroleum distillates and not to use on vinyl, rubber, and plastics or damage will result. Layer behind canvas top is rubber and rear window of 996.1 is plastic and both will contact petroleum distillates, and I wonder if they receive any damage? Our glass 996.2 window just needs to be washed.
Reading the bottles and box it doesn't say protects top from UV rays or keeps canvas pliable, so the only thing it appears to do is make fabric water resistant hence it's not clear if there is any value to using this product. Maybe next time will try Raggtop.
What's needed is a product that restains fabric back to original color, protects from the sun, and keeps canvas pliable.
Try Raggtop cleaner and preservative
It will bring back the color and not damage the top. Best stuff out there.
If that doesn't work after several application you could have it re- dyed.
Maybe in Spring we'll try Raggtop, if that doesn't sufficiently restore color then might apply canvas restorer:

Apparently to re-dye requires submersion in a large tub, so that doesn't seem possible.
Over winter planning on storing convertible top down and installing hardtop. With canvas fabric stowed supposedly it will be creased, but is that worse than being exposed to the sun and flapping from freeway speed winds? It seems up or down convertible top fabric wears and we don't yet know which is worse.
I redire my top myself. Bought Rit due online in dark blue and used a small foam based roller to roll it on. Followed the instructions by diluting the due. Not perfect but looks 95% better. Then I used Raghtop sealer. Couldnt be happier with an almost 20 year old cloth top that spent some of its life outdoors.
Your car and top look nice, maybe we will try the Rit dye. Any reason you didn't use black? Some reviews say the dye is not a consistent color, or an unattractive grey. We probably can test it on an area exposed when top is in service position.
They have good videos, one they take the front suspension of a 996 apart, something we'll be doing coming up.

My original top and interior are blue. Hard to find interior parts but I like the blue against the silver.
You can get some fabric coating from Carpro or your favorite detailing supplier and it will provide good protection, bead up just like paint after wax. They do sell fabric dyes but I am not sure how they would do on a top and out of the 4 cabs I've seen locally they all have the creases.
