I do maintenance for all of our six vehicles and I don't want to have to go back in to replace parts that I've already replaced during regular maintenance.

I'm not sure if the price on these has changed since the original post, but present price is actually slightly higher than Jason as Warehouse33 and he gives a Rennlist discount on top as well.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all,
Anyone purchase these injectors from this supplier "New parts" Or "Parts container":
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/362165816870
I can't see the genuine Bosch part stamp and there is only one picture . Their feedback is not bad but not great... Some of it claims fake non OEM parts...
I'm sceptical about the price and if they are genuine Bosch...
Feedback welcome - thanks!
I haven't purchased those injectors but I've bought from PartsContainer about a dozen times going back to 2015. It was mostly BMW stuff but both the BMW and Porsche parts I received were legit.
Another confusing point, the same company lists individual injectors for $98US each and the listing has "Brand: Bosch" whereas the listing for 6 has: "Brand: OEM Bosch"
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/For-Pors...sAAOSwhUpcbtiC
Now i'm confused - are they genuine or not
What is your question? Bosch is the original equipment manufacturer aka "OEM". I've purchased several parts from this eBay seller and had good results.
I'm confused as to why the listing for 1 injector has:
Brand: Bosch
The listing for 6 injectors is:
Brand: OEM Bosch
Also the price, in 6 they are ~$39.48 each for one they are $98.69 seems like quite a big discount for purchasing 6 unless they aren't the same.
I.e the pack of six are different injectors to the one?
Bosch and OEM Bosch are the same thing, it's just different wording. Typically if they are in a Porsche box, they say genuine or "genuine Porsche" in the description. I can't speak to the price difference, sometimes discounts for buying a set are significant, but that does seem like a big variance.
The big variance is raising red flags for me on this one, I can understand a volume discount but less than half price for them in a six compared to a single one...
Seems too good to be true and as the old saying goes...
Well, I ordered them before this thread was started. This is what arrived.
I haven't sent them to a lab for forensic analysis, but they look legit to me.
Space in there looks tight!! Hoping once I have the airbox out ill have a bit more room to get in there.
Right side when at the rear (bank 2) looks ok but the left looks tricky.
Planning on dropping the engine slightly as per the factory manual or just going to tackle it without?
If I was betting,, if you look at the ones that say Bosch,, vs the OEM Bosch, you'll find
Made in Germany or France on the Bosch, and Made in Japan on the "OEM" version.
Don't know if its still up but bosch used to have a map of their factory locations..
No matter where I sourced them, they get flow tested.. Even from Porsche..
Thanks - the supplier confirmed they are the same despite the huge price discrepancy.
Assuming lowering the engine just gives you additional clearance on each side? Was also thinking about removing the rear wheels to get some access too
I have a set I bought a few months back...hadn't installed yet but I saw the
www.protect.bosch.com
address on those in the picture. Went to the site, entered the box codes and all were legit. Since I buy a fair share of Bosch parts, that site is now a permanent bookmark in my "Car" tab. This counterfeit stuff is really becoming an issue. That article about counterfeit (60%) spark plugs purchased online hit hard. I do maintenance for all of our six vehicles and I don't want to have to go back in to replace parts that I've already replaced during regular maintenance. I used to trust that these online parts dealers were getting high quality stuff and I didn't mind paying for it. Now, I don't know. The last few parts I got for my 997 were Genuine Porsche, and if you search many of the Porsche Dealers online you can find some fairly good deal.
And that abbreviation, OEM, I barely trust that. If I make screws for Porsche I can say I'm OEM and get water pumps, without the same level of process control as a genuine part, out of China then sell them as "OEM" -- I really hate seeing OEM advertised now. I dont mind buying something that's not "genuine" but don't try and make me think I'm getting the same "first rate" part as what the manufacuture specified.

I was worried about these being fake - the only issue I had was the images said "USA" and what arrived said "China" - not ideal but serial numbers verified and all good.
Totally agree though - the word OEM gets thrown around way too often it's almost as if sites call products OEM just because.
I think Porsche do try to cover up parts that are genuine OEM ones sold via back channels with manufactures having to cut off labels (like my Behr oil cooler) or grinding off part numbers (Sachs master cylinder) for example.
I've bought stuff from the BMW and the Porsche dealer and when I
opened the Vendors fancy box found the manufacturers box around the part inside..
I've also bought parts from napa and found a factory part in the box..
I would prefer either the German or the Japanese injectors.. If I could pre-check that's what I'm getting.
I'm not sure if the price on these has changed since the original post, but present price is actually slightly higher than Jason as Warehouse33 and he gives a Rennlist discount on top as well. I also trust his are not counterfeits.
100% with you on this. If one of my uncle's airplane engines fail in flight then there's a good chance he will too. If my car engine fails, I might not die, but the heart attack I get from the bill might just finish me off.
If the parts are mission critical, I would rather pay now than later.
I may be replacing my injectors shortly, too. Does anyone know the significance of the Bosch "white" vs "light green" injectors. These Ebay ones in the link are white, but the genuine and reman parts listed on Pelican and FCP all specify they are light green.
Not entirely true. The 2001 Mark 1 cars use the same injectors as the Mk 2's..........the white ones. I got genuine Bosch from German Auto Supply (in the boxes with the holograms etc) for less than $210 (see below) 1999 and 2000 use the more expensive green ones.
