That's true. But, I figure with all the Porsche's in that area we might have a few forum members with local shop knowledge

Make sure the shop gives a full pre-description of what they do in their PPI.. I've seen way too many people short changed on PPI .. Full monty on the engine.. Bore scope/leakdown/Pan drop. Full Druametric/PWIS printout on the engine cold and hot.

Kahler's in Dublin would be my suggestion. Should be thorough but won't be cheap. Shop was much better when Denny Kahler actually ran it and they only worked on Porsches. Denny worked on the 944T that I owned in the mid 80's. They now do Porsches, MBs and BMWs and don't know if Denny still has a financial interest in the shop or not (or even if he's still walking around). For a walk down memory lane, this is a pic of Denny's street legal 74 911 that was clocked at 230 at Bonneville in the 80's when he was directly involved w/the shop.
