The Napa Gold 1348 is the specified filter. There is now a Platinum version available at my local outlet. I went with the Gold for this change but am wondering about the Platinum in the future. Any comments?

I was asking the same question you are. Charles from LN suggested using the Napa gold and NOT the Platinum version. Same with if you use the identical WIX brand - use the regular version not the XP version. Atleast that was the info i got.

I only have platinum at NAPA in Canada. Hopefully no issues.

I think its a flow issue as the platinum version flow less than the gold due to higher filtration. FYI LN do quite a bit of research before releasing a product and from other threads the gold is their recommendation regardless of the platinum being available. I'm sure they will confirm though.
