Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello! I have a 996 convertible and no garage... I am looking to purchase a car cover and looking for recommendations from fellow peeps in Rennlist. What do you guys use? I live in San Diego so it would be mostly for sun damages and the occasional rain in the winter. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

Welcome, please take a look at the thread below. These cars are old enough most topics have been touched on at least once. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...ast-cover.html

POST 3Original post

I have a custom 996 Porsche car cover. Used it once. I'm in Vista. $100.

Great! I'll text you in a few minutes.

POST 7Original post

I use a CoverKing on my 996. I get about 3.5 years from them in the South Florida ecosystem.

POST 8Original post

Mine's a Coverking. But, they make many types. I have some that are light nylon. This one is some sort of very durable material, not sure what.

POST 9Original post

The car cover I use is from a company called California car cover. Check out their website at calcarcover.com. They’re the best in the business IMHO. You can chose many different materials and some have colors. You can customize them a bit and the warranty is best in the business. I have used them on all my vehicles for years! Eric

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
