Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Again, just fyi.......I kept meticulous maintenance and repair records on the car, had data all the way back from when it was just 12k miles old.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just some info for you guys in case you're interested......after eight years of ownership of this great car, I just sold it, 103k miles, excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition, sold through Porsche dealer via consignment.....went for just on $28k, including tax........just thought that info might be useful to y'all. Thanks for all the help and advice over the last few years and all the best to everyone.
Thanks for sharing that info. It makes me feel good about the 03 C4S (good condition with < 60k miles and, among other things, a recent clutch & LN ims replacement) I bought a couple of months ago for $27k.
Again, just fyi.......I kept meticulous maintenance and repair records on the car, had data all the way back from when it was just 12k miles old. I'm told that's what made the difference, that and the cosmetic condition made the sale.
That was the buyers out the door price (you said including tax). Since tax rates vary everwhere, how much of that was tax? Did the $28k include consignment fees? Im trying to eliminate fees and get to the sale price.
Congrats on the sale. Are you replacing it? Porsche or another brand?
Well I got about $25k from the sale, the rest was 10% consignment fee and tax.....so that works out to be about $27500 for the car itself.
I think the real point is that the buyer thought the total price of around $28k was worth it.
Haven't decided on what car to buy next, or even whether or not to get another car. I'm homing in on finishing a 4year restoration of a 1968 Jaguar E-type (XKE to you yanks) Coupe, so we'll see!
Oh wow! I think I test drove your car a few months ago. Felt amazingly tight, even at over 100k miles. Glad to hear it sold, still on the hunt for my second 996.
It was the Silver C4S at Hennessey, wasn't it?
It was there for a good while though. Glad it finally sold.
I think I saw a thread by the new owner here or on 6sp.
I came very close, but >100k miles held me back. I realized yours was very well cared for and in great condition, likely better some with half the mileage, but last year there were a few higher mileage C4S's for sale here that seemed to take a really long time to move. So driving for a few years, I figured I would be at 120k miles and it would be difficult to sell. In retrospect, it probably wouldn't have been a bit deal.
Yes it was, and it was also where I bought the car eight years ago. Paid about $34k for it back then when it had 75k miles on it. Pretty decent people to deal with for the most part, at least in my experience.
