looking for recommendations for a shop to rebuild my transmission that are located in Florida. I believe I have a syncro issue with 6th gear. Thanks in advance

6th gear synchro issue isn't that common because they get little wear. Are you engine mounts in good shape?

Had it up on the lift with the cables disconnected and had trouble getting it in gear unless I slammed it real fast. So my best guess now the shift fork is damaged or bent so it doesn't fully engage 6th. But the momentum of shifting fast allows it the engage. I can repeat the results on the lift and while driving.

The job went great, thanks to your help. But, I need to wait to give the all clear - I am waiting for the snow to melt and clear to road test. Definite downside of living up north...
