The ENTIRE suspension has been replaced with aftermarket fully adjustable components so the originality of the car is gone.

I had a set a few months ago that were in pretty good shape, but with junk rubber on them.

Heck I even had a set on my VW Corrado for a while.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just put new wheels on my car and have my C4S Turbo Twist sitting in boxes now. Not sure if i should keep em or sell em. I find several online but they are all hollow turbo models. Any idea what a set a 4 non hollows should go for? They were refinished by porsche of orlando june of last year when i purschased the car. Great shape.
$1,000-$1,200 will get you a nice set of hollow spoke turbos. I'd say the non-hollow wide-body fitments should be worth $700-$800 if they are in good shape and don't need any refinishing.
I've not had great luck selling wheels. Currently trying to pedal both the 18" wheels that came on my 2005 997 C2 and a set of twists of some sort that were on the 2007 997 when I got that. Lots of bites, and plenty of low ballers (will you take 300?) but no one serious.
I would say keep them and give them to the next owner if/when you sell the car. Tastes in rims vary by individual so I would think having the OEM's would be appreciated.
I agree with Craig, not having the original wheels if you do decide to sell the car will likely cost you more than the 7-800 you will make selling them.
Well.....I have no intentions on selling this thing ever. Been my dream car forever. Also i dont see the 996 ever being an investment so i am not leaving it stock. The ENTIRE suspension has been replaced with aftermarket fully adjustable components so the originality of the car is gone. No need to keep the wheels at this point. Guess i will clean them up this weekend and put them on the market place. No rush to sell so will see what happens.
This was my Craigslist ad when I sold mine. I didn't include the center caps but I still thought the price was reasonable because the wheels were in great shape and had brand new tires (as in less than 50 miles). It took a while but they finally were bought by a local PCA member.
I had a set a few months ago that were in pretty good shape, but with junk rubber on them. Had a hard time getting $600 for them. They do look great on 944s and 928s though, so there is a decent market for them. Heck I even had a set on my VW Corrado for a while.
