Other than the OEM wheels.... what's a good looking one piece wheel? Painted silver with clear and/or a polished lip okay. Something for around $2k (just wheels). I'm just looking for some ideas as most wheels I've seen are in the $3k-$4k range. AND what wheels would look good on white? Some wheels look good on certain colored cars and some do not.

Wheel Enhancement.com has a wide array of wheels, and hundreds of pictures showing installed wheels. Great guys too. Got my new wheels there on Monday (I have the luxury of going in person.) A really good wheel that is a little more reasonably priced than others is the BBS RS-GT wheel, available in a silver look and also diamond black. I put a set on my former 04 Targa before trading it.
