Not to hijack this thread.....but all I can say about a situation like this is when buying used, just buy from a dealer and get the car as a CPO so as to avoid all this bullsh*t.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Has anyone ever had any success with getting their 996 covered under Extended Warranty with Heritage?
It seems their policy to deny, deny, deny any claim that comes to them. The shop mechanic, GM, and GSM all verified the car to be covered under their warranty policy.
Yet, all they can do is lie, cheat, fabricate, and operate with no integrity.
If anyone has connections or knows how to get this company to work by the truth and follow reports that were documented by the shop that sold the car and the warranty, PLEASE
let me know!
The problem is the gearbox had a bearing failure in third gear. Caused excessive heat. Upon post mortum the shop found the oil to be full of metal and the gears to be blueish in color. Heritage claims that the car was run out of oil by the leak of the output seal, (Under carrige is spotless!) which caused this condition. Verbage states lack of lubrication as the reason!
The car has been at the shop since December 9th and amzingly there was not one drop on their floor. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, that seems to be exactly what they want me to do.
You would think that if you buy a warranty with good $$ that the company should stand behind what they sell.
They don't want you to sue, they want you to walk away with your tail between your legs, while they keep your cash. They are operating a scam, you are a victim. They are counting on the usual fear of paying an attorney a retainer and an hourly rate. It is truely worth the $ to make your point. It's just a hassle- and they know that. AS
Aftermarket warranty companies can make things tough, I had one about 10 years ago and they sent an adjuster down for a $1200 claim and they covered it after making some noise, I decided after that factory is the way to go, good luck with the claim.
File a complaint with the District Attorney's Office for fraud. File a compaint with the BBB as well. Keep the pressure on these a-holes, and they may give in.

Sorry about your problems Douglas, I hope you end up getting them resolved in your favor.
The state of CA handles complaints against insurance companies. I think that should be your first step, CALL them & get a name you can call back, if there isn't a timely response (Always get a name/names for recall purposes)
Heritage denied my claim for replacing my coolant reservior. After talking to 3 reps and a manager, I am convinced that I have a worthless warranty. Stay away from Heritage.
Agreed that Heritage is as another member put it a SCAM!
Thanks to Mfarrel, the CA. D.A. wants ALL the data on this one, I guess it's NOT the first time, go figure
Some else mentioned the State Commissioner for Insurance Fraud, BOY were they excited when I told them the Companies name, they had it right at their finger tips, didn't even have to look it up!
Thanks for the great advise, the letters go out on Friday!
