Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Patience paid off as I found a super clean 80K mile 2003 Targa 10 miles away, which I pretty much stole for $18K!
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Howdy!
Thought I'd introduce myself and my 996 Targa.
Short story: My wife was driving a manual transmission Scion, but jacked up her back in a soccer game, and couldn't row her own any more. So I sold the Scion and she effectively stole
my
Audi Q5 as her daily, which left me without a ride.
I decided a 996 would be a decent consolation prize, so my year-and-a-half long nationwide search began. Patience paid off as I found a super clean 80K mile 2003 Targa 10 miles away, which I pretty much stole for $18K!
The PO, who's a PCA member, did a ton of maintenance (including engine out IMS/RMS/AOS) and a bunch of mods to her already, so the only things I really had to do was replace the blown speakers, fix a stuck window switch, and silence the roof rattles with felt and dry-lube.
The guy even included the original rims and tires and the currently mounted Andros rims - both sets are still knee-deep in tread.
Mods include: Fabspeed tune, Fabspeed exhaust, 100 cell cats (car sounds
wicked
), GT3 front bumper, assorted GT3 suspension pieces.
Thanks for looking!
Start with a Scion, end up with a nice 996 Targa. And all it cost you was an Audi. Seems like you came out the winner
Congrats on the find!
You can get plugs for the front bumper license plate holes and clean up the front end.
Congrats on the new ride! If you're going to be working on it yourself, take a look at the link below to our site's DIY tech articles on the 996 platform. Please let us know if you have any questions and we'll be happy to assist.

@Pelican, already got it bookmarked
@85euro, yeah luckily the PO did pretty much everything in 101 Projects book...nothing much for me do except wash her and drive her
