Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I want to replace my Becker CDR 220 with an XM-ready head unit. All that I have looked at state that they are not compatible with common-ground wired speaker systems. I assume my '01 Carrera Cab is wired that way since there is only a single wire out of the Becker, going to the four speaker locationss. Does anyone have any experience with this dillema? I don't want to tear up the car in order to run the new plus-and-minus speaker wires all the way to the speakers. Has anyone used either the Scosche SLC4 or the Soundgate PWR 1.4 "black boxes" to solve this problem?? TIA Dudley Binford
