Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has anyone had this happen I fill the car and it still says just above 3/4 of a tank. Is there a sending unit or a float? Dealer quick fix or big job? Any help would be great. 1999 996 C2

POST 2Original post

some times the sending units get tied up on the lines theres a bulletion to secure them to prevent that. you could do it at home if your inclined

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Where are the lines? Can you send me a copy of the bulletin? Does the dealer know of this? Is this common?

POST 4Original post

dealer should copy,m i could send u a compy tmorrow, if your a memeber you can get all the bulletions, it usedx to be more comon then it is now a days

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The paperwork you sent me says MY 02 and up. Is it the same 99?

POST 7Original post

i have a '99 and this happened to me a couple of months ago. i jacked the car up and explored the EVAP canister underneath the passenger front wheel well just below and to the left of the exterior gas fill point. there are two valves that can be disconnected up front and one in the back engine compartment. these are purge valves. in no particular order i blew into each valve. you can hear the pressure release from an opposite valve depending on which one you introduce air to. i then reconnected everything and tank fills to full each time now. maybe i was lucky but it worked for me.
