Suggestion

It does do well to keep you in good posture but sometimes after about an hour my lower back could use a bit more lumbar support.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just installed my new gt3 seats and all I have to say is "Wow". The seat feels great and makes me want to push the car hard. I guess the new shoes I got will be installed sooner then I thought. One thing I've noticed is that the seat can be a little tight and annoying when just cruising around. I'm not able to put my arms up or hang it out the window, i'm also not able to slouch or lean to the side. Might be tiring for longer trips in the car. Does anyone have any complaints with the gt3 seats? How much driving do you do with them? Other then getting in an out, I love these seats (for now).

POST 2Original post

I love mine. I prefer a very upright position, so the inability to slouch or lean is great for me. I also find the side and back support is much better for my back and less tiring than the stock seats. Agree that getting in/out is not the greatest, and my only concern is wear on the side bolster from getting in/out.

POST 3Original post

I drop mine in for track weekends and then swap out when the weekend is over. While I love them (and does the wife at the track) they really suck for use as a daily driver. Fantastic at the track though!

POST 4Original post

I love mine so much that I'm going to put them back in for daily driving this weekend.

POST 5Original post

I drove from San Fran to LA and back this weekend for a DE at Cal Speedway, the seats are not bad for longer distances. The padding is a little thinner, so I would say an extra rest stop or two was helpful to get out and stretch. My trick for getting in and out of the seat more gracefully is to put my hand on the door sill to help support body weight and not rub the side bolster as much.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm thinking about wearing cleats bc my right feet loses traction on the floormats as I push off.

POST 7Original post

Back in August I took the car and the wife to the Historics event in Monterey.... Guess what... The seats were fine for me but the wife, well let's just say she did't care for them.... Unlike Dell, I don't remove them because this is not my daily driver...... that and the wife won't ride in the car after the Monterey trip anyways... They are fantastic at the track....

POST 8Original post

I'm a new owner of 05 GT3 and am intersted in Euro gt3 seats(black). Where is the best source? I'm in the midwest.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

new or used? try suncoast or ebay..

POST 10Original post

I put mine in last spring and intended to only use them during autocross/de season but a year and a half later they are still in! It does do well to keep you in good posture but sometimes after about an hour my lower back could use a bit more lumbar support. With the top down its no problem getting in and out although it does work your abs when you have to lift yourself out so if you're out of shape you might have a problem for daily driving. Recently I was tempted to put the stock passenger seat back in because my lady friend had a real problem getting in and out of the seat without her low riding jeans/short skirt showing all the goods. needless to say the GT3 seat is still in. I dind't want her dreading to get in my car enough that she would be tempted to say "let's take my Neon instead".

POST 12Original post

15-20 minutes. 4 bolts for each seat and a wiring harness for the seatbelt and power.
