Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The Nav unit uses flash RAM as the storage, so the unit comes with all the NAV info already in memory....there is no disc for the Nav info.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hello, here in europe the pcm 2 is a real disaster and does not worth the money. i have no navi system in my car, just the standard radio with a bose system. i was thinkin of becker traffic pro 7820 or 7945 becker indianapolis 7920. what do you think? or.. is there any alternative 16/9 for my 4S 2003? thanks

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

any suggestion, with name model and useful info, will be appreciated thanks

POST 3Original post

Have a look at the new Becker Cascade, sounds superb, has nav, bluetooth, mp3 etc. and you can adjust the colour of the display to match. I am looking for a car without PCM2 so I can add one of these units.

POST 5Original post

I have the Kenwood system....The DDX7015 is what I have, which is now the DDX7017, The Kenwood/Garmin G510 FLASH based Nav...no discs and FAST....plus it have TONS of info built in and the unit is tiny, you can stick it anywhere, the whole US always loaded with a gazillion points of interests....I love it...plus it has lots of other great features as well.....

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

newport, i saw yours before, nice job. what do you mean no discs?!?!?!? the eclispe sounds great too...

POST 7Original post

The Nav unit uses flash RAM as the storage, so the unit comes with all the NAV info already in memory....there is no disc for the Nav info. So its like accessing a file in memory on your computer vs accessing a file in your CD-ROM drive on your computer. Its WAY faster to get it from RAM...So faster access times for routes, route changes, points of interest searches etc....updates are done via the internet. No need to order new discs every few years. Now the deck itself plays DVD's, CD's, etc....
