Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

My bad, I should make this more clearly, it's "besides" rivets, should I use adhesive tape to avoid the wind coming inbetween the lip and the bumper?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, What kind of double sided tape should I use to install the cup lip onto the front bumper? Where can I buy/order it from? TIA, JJ

POST 2Original post

I don't think double-sided tape is gonna cut it. I believe you have to bolt on the front spoiler lip. Do a search for "spoiler lip" posts by "LVDell" for more info.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks! My bad, I should make this more clearly, it's "besides" rivets, should I use adhesive tape to avoid the wind coming inbetween the lip and the bumper?

POST 4Original post

I've used a clear glue called "Welder" which you can get at Walmart, it's in a stainless steel/aluminum-look tube, about $3-4 a tube, you may need a few tubes. it's flexible, lots of time before it sets, once set it's good in hot and cold weather, and it's waterproof. Sticks on fiberglass, polyurethane, almost anything. I've used that on a BMW lip spoiler with plastic rivets, and checked it every now and then for fear of the lip coming loose in weather, and high speed winds...never had a problem for years.
