OK, I was able to set the function where the mirrors tilt down when the car is placed in reverse, however only the passanger side mirror is tilting down.

Its odd, I can set the memory, but I am very cramped when entering the car.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello Everyone
I recently purchased a 996 Targa. To that extent I have a couple of questions. First off, should the drivers side power seat slide back automatically when I open the door. Its odd, I can set the memory, but I am very cramped when entering the car. In the past, my other vehicles had a feature where the seat slid back when the door opened offering the driver a lot of room when entering the car. OK, I was able to set the function where the mirrors tilt down when the car is placed in reverse, however only the passanger side mirror is tilting down. Next, is their a way to make the poser rear spoiler go up and down with a button? Oh, one more question, when the spoiler goes up at the proper speed.. is there a light etc letting the driver know the spoiler is elevated?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

1. I don't think the driver's seat slides back automatically to accomodate access.
2. The mirror tilt feature is only for the passenger side.
3. The poser button for the spoiler is at the bottom left panel on the driver's side footwell. Just below the fusebox panel.
4. I don't think there's a light anywhere for the spoiler's activation. But you sure can see the tip of it thru' the rearview mirror.
The driver's seat is probably sliding to the
key
memory position. On MY02+ cars, the key memory is independent of the button memory, so if you open the car with the remote on the key, the seat position for the key is retrieved.
To set the position on the key, get yourself comfortable with the key in the ignition. If you want the reverse park feature (passenger side only, for some reason), engage reverse gear. Then hold the "M" memory button and the key symbol button by the seat, and voila! From now on, whenever you use that key to "plip" open the door, your preferred driving position will be set.
You can add a Turbo Spoiler Switch to your dashboard and run some wires from the switch in the driver's side foot well to the center console. Here is a link to the DIY instructions. You can enlarge the pics by clicking on them.
