Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.
Rennlist: 1 discussions
0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.
1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Thanks for the suggestion SPR, I tried it but unfortunately it didn't work.
My 2003 C4S has developed a strange problem, frequently when the passenger side door in my 2003 C4S is closed, the window goes down halfway. I then have to push the power window switch to make it go back up and it goes up slowly and sputters. Occasionally, when the passenger side door is opened, the window goes up (like it should after the door is closed) which makes it difficult to close the door correctly. Once, I closed the driver's side door and the passenger side window went down, again, halfway. The driver's side door's window is functioning correctly. Has this, or anything similar, happened to anyone else? I'm going to take it to a dealer next week, after my sister leaves, but would love to have a heads up in case they've never worked on anything like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I did experience this on my former 1999 996 Apparently, there are certain contacts (limit switches or something like that) that can foul. My car was under warranty so the window regulator (motor) was replaced at no charge. I think that it has to do with a safety mechanism that is based on window tension in ase anyone sticks their head out the window while it's rolling up.
The windows can sometimes become stupid. To reset or retrain them click them all the way up and then double click them up again and then one touch them down and up should be fine. If not then it would be something else.
