Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

at a alignment shop, about 1 hour using laser systems that do not align to the centerline of the car and the equipment could need some recalibration itself (ie: rack no longer level over time)...

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have an appointment today to get an alignment done on the car. How much time is required? The shop appears to be a good bunch of guys. They are gonna let me hang out and learn some tricks. I just want to keep tabs on the time... Chad

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Seriously guys, how much time and $$ to do this. I did a search and not much came up. C.

POST 3Original post

I've been quoted $120-$160 for 4 wheel alignment. $60 for just the front. That was at a "performance" tire and alignment house that carries a reputation for excellent work but not necessarily the least expensive.

POST 4Original post

on a setup platform at the track, a two man operation with the correct tools will do a full 4 wheel camber and toe alignment in 20 minutes.. thats pro race level... with about 8 alignments for a race weekend at a alignment shop, about 1 hour using laser systems that do not align to the centerline of the car and the equipment could need some recalibration itself (ie: rack no longer level over time)...

POST 5Original post

The set up takes a little time, but once done, the full alignment & corner balancing is fairly quick. I've seen one mechanic from TRG finish my car in less than 30 minutes. If you're planning to race/DE, get the car set up the same way, then sit in the car while they do the work... Cheers!
