I ve been looking to trade my car in just for those 02+ front, but I've been delaying it since I probably wouldn't find one that has clean interior as mine.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

before and afters
I have a 2002 C2 and wondering if the turbo's bumper can just bolt it on directly without any modification, and what year do I need on turbo's bumper.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I did stop by a local shop they said they need turbo fenders, paint, parts $3000 because it is wider than our 996. Is that true or I can just put it on myself.
As i told you in your PM.....A turbo front bumper will bolt right up on your car.You will need to make 2 small Strait brackets on the bottom ..thats it. Stay away from that shop they are liars or have no clue, doesnt matter which one STAY AWAY, clear?
I was sooo jealous of all you guys with the sexy new headlights...so when I could buuy bumper, headlight and fenders for 1300 bucks...I had to make the step.....not knowing how many more parts you need to complete the transformation!!! (leveling bolt for the headlight are $44 per bolt and you need 6...headlight brackets, sidemarker brackets, headwasher kit to convert the old to the new, wiring harnesses, bumper grills, bumper brackets, bumperlip, and I am sure I forgot a couple of parts....
all together the facelift set me back about $4,000....BUT I sold my old litronix headlights for 850 and the fenders and bumper for $600.....I am selling my old wiring harness for $400 so in the end for 2 grand I have a pretty damn sexy looking car.
About the size of the turbo bumper....the front never changed in width only the rear did! So that garage is trying to screw you !!! you can buy a bumper on ebay for 300-1000 and put it on yourself!!(after having it painted at the shop afcourse!
The headlight are different? Are the new ones non litronic?. The reason for my question is that I ordered some of those headlight round fittings and when they arrived they were incorrect? The supplier said he did bot have the litronic type yet.
Steve
I don't understand your question?? I don't think that the 02-04 P come without litronix (or xenon) headlights....and what fittings are you talking about?
The before and afters are ofcourse afters and befores!! (in my posted images)
Got t. I was wondering why you had a turbo nose, and replaced it with a standard one???I thought for a moment that you went to older headlights to accomidate the circular frames. Your car looks terrific. I am sure you are like the rest of us and after a dramatic upgrade you cannot stop going into the garage!
Nothing....it may actually reduce it.....I did it because I wanted it and I plan on keeping my car for a while....The key is to use all Porsche parts and have someone who knows what they are doing do the work so the wiring is right and there are no issues in the future.
I am with you Newport....don't care much about resale...will keep this one till it falls apart....probably buy a coupe turbo in the future and keep this one as a summer car......Everything is done with original parts..I don't think you can do with any other parts anyway.
I don't know if it will reduce it!? but it won't get you more.
Holly s**t. Looks like it's out of a showroom. Regardless of the resale value, I am definitely doing that to my 01 black/black C2 coupe w 22K miles. I ve been looking to trade my car in just for those 02+ front, but I've been delaying it since I probably wouldn't find one that has clean interior as mine. Now I am addicted to this site.
I've been modding my MB E-class, and now my P C2. Someone said modding is more addicting than the crack. I can now see.
Your new car =
Nicholaas & Newport -- your cars look FANTASTIC!!!!
Geez!! And I just had the aero kit front and skirts installed this year!
I could definitely see doing this project since I'll drive my 2000 cab forever! Great job guys!!
