im thinking i might just get a pair of used bypass pipes for when ever i want to be annoying and getting the pse for daily driving.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

im having the hardest time looking for an exhaust system. i narrowed it down to fabspeed and either the sport exhsaust system or the muffler bypass. i want the loudest possible but im afraid the muffler bypass sounds to "muscle" car like from the videos on the fabspeed website. anyone with the muffler bypass do they actully sound like a porsche or do they sound like somthing else? Also if anyone knows of any altrenatives please feel free to voice your opinion
I have a set of the fabspeed muffler bypasses i used for a day, too loud for my taste.
I tried those, i have the PSE, and open they are ok, but i'm opting for the fabspeeds to try right now.
I have a PSE complete setup i can sell you, or the bypass pipes if your interested. I'll take $400 for the bypass pipes, i paid $600 if my memory serves me correctly, and i used them for a ride around the block. I'm trying to trade the PSE for fabspeeds right now though.
i searched the topic a little more and lots of people say to get the pse but they are a good 500 buck more then then fabspeed. im thinking i might just get a pair of used bypass pipes for when ever i want to be annoying and getting the pse for daily driving. i still don't know for sure though.
your more than welcome to come by and go for a ride in my car...i have the pse. Better than spending a whole lot of money to know you don't like something!
id love to hear the pse thanks for the offer. im not making any promises yet but if i like them enough ill take them of you hands for a pair of fabspeeds. just send me an email to

when ever your willing to come to this area. im also not sure about the bypass pipes i think ill just get them sometime in the spring when i get bored with what i have on the car at that time
my offices are in mount prospect, my P Car is in the garage there, your more than welcome to come by and listen to the exhaust anytime you like. It's not about you buying mufflers about me, but if i can save a enthusiast a buck and you get an idea of what they sound like, no problem.
i was going to ask if i can come by today to check them out but the weather is a real downer and i just don't feel like drving. but tommorrow ill have nothing to do so if your not busy i would love to hear the exhaust, o since well be showing off our cars ill show you what a porsche sounds with a k&n air intake installed...
PSE without the switch (on all the time) is louder than Fabspeed, but is higher pitched. Are you looking for sound volume or sound quality? For sound volume go PSE without switch. For a deep smooth sound go Fabspeed.
im looking for the distinctive porsche sound basicly so i figure pse is the way to go seeing as how its from porsche. but i could be wrong so once i get a listen ill know for sure what im getting
I'm having the same problem. I REALLY want to upgrade my exhaust but can't make up my mind without hearing the damn things.
Did everyone else here buy them sight unseen? Maybe you're all just braver than I am.
I just order the the Fabspeed so I can just wake up the neighbors that sleep lightly. Seriously, the second most fun of driving these cars is the aural sensation. I need to maximize this compont legally so that I can still speed and not feel guilty.
I am in the same boat - I want to hear some of the different ones before I make the decision.
I am still curious about the exhaust that Dan from Vivid Racing promoted a week or so ago. They sounded good in the clips he provided and are a great price, but I would like to hear them in person and see that they have been installed on more than one p-car!
