Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've got an extra PSE setup laying around the garage, off my 8k mile car. This is the mufflers, actuators, hardware, ect. My car has the pse on it now, but i have an extra setup in the garage and was wondering if anybody has a good set of fabs that they'd be willing to trade for? We'd both agree to pay for next day air shipping to keep our downtime to a minimum. Any takers? I'd be interested in dansk's too...

POST 2Original post

I might not undersand, isn't a set of PSE much much expansive than a Fabspeed ?? I have a Fabspeed but it does have 20k on it.

POST 3Original post

Damn! Next day air on mufflers. Good luck with that. Why would you have down time if you have an "extra" set just laying around?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

just figured somebody would be needing the replacement set of mufflers asap. I figured if they wanted them asap, it would be only fair that we should each send them next day air.

POST 5Original post

Let me get this straight - you've got a PSE setup ready to ship, to trade for some Fabspeeds? How many miles on the PSE, and does it still sound as good as it should? I may be your guy on this - I've got fabspeeds with about 2k on them, I'd love to try a PSE and see what it does. Let me know...

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yep, ready to rock and roll. Mine are extras so i can ship them out to you if yours are on the car, and if you promptly swap them out, you can just send the fabs my way.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

the pse has about 6500 miles on it. my car has 8k mies on it. I think there may be a different part # for the 02+ cars.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i agree that the pse is worth more than the fabs, but mine are 7 years old. Granted they have very low miles on them.

POST 9Original post

I have a spare pair of fabspeed mufflers laying in the corner that I would be willing to trade. I installed a pair of muffler bypass pipes and have been very happy with them but the PSE might be just as nice. I don't want to do next day air though as I'm not in any rush for them. Let me know. Can send you pics if you want. Greg

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

sure, No we don't need to next day them, mine are spares and yours are spares. Let me know. Thanks Joe

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i can take some pics too if you want Greg.

POST 12Original post

The only difference between the 99-01 PSE and the 02+ are the tail pipe pieces. where the tail pipes exit the rear bumper was relocated in 02. I know this because I bought a used set of PSE which were off a 02+ car and installed them on my 00. I used the tail pipe pieces off my old exhaust system. I sold the 02+ tailpipe pieces to someone who bought a 99-01 PSE and was installing them on an 02+ car.

POST 13Original post

Not correct. Get a pic of the two and you will see the OBVIOUS difference...not to mention the better sound on the 02+ cans.

POST 14Original post

OK, I was mistaken, the by-pass pipes on the 02+ are also larger. But the all the parts but the tail pipe pieces will fit both early models and 02+. I know some people who have said they preferred the earlier PSE as tehy were a little less loud. I don't really know as I have ony heard mine with the 02+ Cans.

POST 16Original post

I'll take some pics when I get home this afternoon and get in touch with you this weekend. Thanks.

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

sure, If you like, give me a call @ [phone removed] Joe

POST 18Original post

I'm going out to the garage this morning to clean these up a little and take a few pics.(They are a little dirty as they have been off the car for about 6 months sitting in the corner of the garage)

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
