Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm trying to decide which direction to go next. I can either buy the front and side aero parts, clutch and flywheel, or a new set of hoosiers for racing. Just wondering which you would pick and why?

POST 2Original post

What are you trying to accomplish? Aero is just styling. Put a flywheel/clutch in if you need them. Get new Hoosiers if you are looking at track times.

POST 3Original post

front and side aero parts I think these are mandatory on all 996 Carrera! You won't regret it.

POST 4Original post

You would have to define "racing" to help us understand the application. DE, Club, etc?

POST 5Original post

How much would the clutch/flywheel setup run? Would you, or could you go with the lightweight? It's about that time I replace my clutch.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah a lightweight flywheel and sport clutch or just a replacement clutch and RMS. $1200 w/ regular clutch $1500+ with the sport clutch and LFW. I race the Time Trial series through NASA so I guess it isn't a race it's a Time Trial.

POST 7Original post

I just picked up Aero I front and sides. I figure I'll do Clutch flywheel when needed or when the Dreaded RMS comes my way. BTW I got a great deal from DPS motorsports.

POST 8Original post

Hoosiers. The gift that keeps on giving. Just so long as you keep buying them.
