Wash with P21S, clay with the Wolfgang clay kit, polish with 3M hand glaze for any real marring, otherwise P21S polish, Wolfgang Paint Sealer and P21S Carnaba Wax. Turned out pretty well.

How do you keep it from showing any road rash on the hood? clear bra? I have a black c2 and I am going to have my front aero spoiler and hood resprayed this week by a really good paint shop as i have too many of the white flecks and it drives me nuts

It was not a pink t-shirt I do not have a clear bra or anything. It just doesn't have any hood rash yet. The car is a 2004, that I bought new last December. It only has 5k mniles on it now. I drive it daily but I have only a 2 mile commute to work.

Black is tough! Nice job!!! The only thing you need is a clear third brake light=cheap mod, but on dark cars it looks awesome. Steve

It is not Basalt. Regualar old flat black. And a major league PITA to keep it clean.
